Q: What makes Purely By Nature™'s products different from drug-store mineral makeup?
A:
The ingredients! If you read the labels, you will notice quite a difference. Most of the drug and department store brands (as well as the "big" TV brands) have chemicals and cheap fillers such as Bismuth Oxychloride and talc. Don't take our word for it--take some time to read the labels for yourself and make an educated decision about what you want to put on your face, as well as how it may affect your skin.
Also, we offer a larger variety of colors and shades than most brands, ensuring a good match for each skin tone.
Q: What is Bismuth Oxychloride?
A:
Bismuth is the by-product of lead and copper refining. It is very heavy and chemically resembles arsenic. In addition, for many women (but not all), it causes itching and irritation as well as aggravating rosacea and acne. It's a relatively inexpensive filler that many makeup companies use because it has reflective properties so it disguises wrinkles, acne and other skin conditions. However, we believe that it not only cheapens our products but that the risks outweigh any possible benefits it may provide: Purely By Nature™ refuses to use it in any of our products.
Q: How do I know which shade of foundation (or other product) is right for me?
A:
Samples! If you have any doubts about the color that's right for you, please consider purchasing one of our inexpensive samples, or one of our best value bagged sample kits.
The beauty of minerals is that unless you choose a color that's completely wrong for you, you shouldn't have a problem. Minerals do not create a thick mask like traditional liquids--they blend into your skin while evening out your skin tone.
Q: What is my skin undertone?
A:
An easy way to tell what your skin undertone is...check out the veins on the inside of your forearm. If your vein appears blue, you are most likely a "cool". If it appears green, you are most likely a "warm".
Some other easy ways to figure out your skin tone.
You look:
better in silver= "cool"
better in a white t-shirt= "cool"
better in gold= "warm"
better in a cream t-shirt= "warm"
Some women are "neutral" in coloring, meaning they look equally as good in silver and gold, white and cream.

Q: Why do some of your colors look similar?
A:
It is very difficult to catch a color by camera, though we have tried! Also, computer monitors vary and can distort colors a bit further. Some of our colors are slightly alike, simply because the human skin is so complex and there are many variances--think of how many people there are in the world! We believe in providing many options in shades for our customers to choose from so that they are given the best that minerals have to offer. Each of our colors works well for several different skin tones so if you don't see one that meets your needs, please let us know.
Q: Can you guarantee my satisfaction?
A:
No. While we wholeheartedly believe in our products and use them ourselves, we understand that each woman has her own unique needs and expectations and it would be foolish of us to make such a promise.
However, using minerals requires time to adjust so give it a few days to perfect your application method, favorite colors, etc. Play around with them and have fun!
Q: What is your return policy?
A:
100% customer satisfaction is our goal. Due to the nature of our products, we are unable to accept returns on any of our items.
If your order is damaged in transit, please let us know immediately. Please keep all packaging so that we may file a claim with the carrier. We will send you out replacement products at no charge to you and shipped via PbN™'s standard method of shipping.
Unfortunately, we are not able to accommodate returns due to the order of an incorrect color or shade. The extent of our responsibility is to fill your order as it is entered on the order form. If we have made an error and shipped you an incorrect product, color or size, we will happily ship you the correct replacement and you may keep both items.
We encourage you to purchase our affordable samples to determine if the Purely By Nature™ products meet your unique needs and expectations, as our products are non returnable. Thank you for your understanding.
Q: Is my credit card information secure?
A:
Yes. We process all of our payments solely through Paypal, which means that we never see any of your sensitive information, including credit card numbers. Paypal takes care of all of that for us so that we only see your name, billing/shipping address, contact email/phone and items ordered. There is absolutely no way for us to access your credit card information so you can rest assured that your card will never be double-charged or auto-charged when you shop at Purely By Nature™. Q: Do you offer trials, memberships or subscriptions?
A:
No. Our minerals are known to last our customers quite a while per jar, so there is simply no need to charge and send out products monthly. We believe in the quality of our minerals and that our customers will return for more when they need them, not upon our timetable.
